As one of Singapore’s few Halal ramen chains, Ichikokudo opts for a chicken and/or seafood-based broth. Their signature Shoyu base adds a refreshing twist to the traditional Hokkaido ramen. While the soup is light and mildly savory, we believe it has the potential for further enhancement to achieve greater depth and complexity.

Sho Ryu Ramen offers a variety of ramen options, including their signature Sho Ryu and classic Tonkotsu variations. Surprisingly, the broth tasted the same across the two options we tried. The overall flavor is satisfactory, with a savory taste complemented by a dash of burnt garlic. However, the consistency of the broth leans towards the watery side, which may not be to everyone’s liking.

The decorations gives a good “Izakaya feel” with lots of old toys and ads around – a common style you can find in most of the Keisuke outlets. The staff are attentive and you will feel at home in this setting. Try their special sodas – sakura, wasabi and more. Compliments the meal quite well in general.
