The ABLR Shop is Officially Live: High-Quality Gear for Noodle Nerds

For a long time, Ah Boy Like Ramen has been about more than just finding a quick meal. It’s been about the technical side of the bowl—breaking down the noodles, the soup, the meat, and the toppings using a consistent framework to find what truly stands out.

Today, I’m taking that same technical rigor and applying it to something new: The ABLR Online Store.

Why Merch?

I wanted to create ramen-inspired merchandise for people who care about ramen beyond just eating it. This isn’t about “fast fashion” or cheap souvenirs. It’s about creating stuff that reflects the depth of the ramen culture we all love.

Most importantly, every purchase you make directly supports independent ramen reviews and ongoing coverage here on the blog. It helps me keep the refractometers calibrated, the bowls coming, and the reviews honest and unbiased.

The First Drop: The “Ah Boy Approved” Stickers

To kick things off, I’m releasing the official Ah Boy Approved! Sticker. If you’ve followed my reviews, you know I don’t hand out “Approved” status lightly. I applied that same standard to the production of these stickers.

The Technical Specs

Because I care about the details, I didn’t take any shortcuts with the manufacturing:

  • 100% Printed in Japan: I sourced these specifically from Japan to ensure the highest possible color accuracy and material quality.
  • Weatherproof & UV-Protected: These are printed on UV White PVC with a glossy lamination. They won’t fade in the sun or peel off in the rain.
  • Industrial Strength Adhesive: These are designed to stay put.

The “Squeeze Test”

I don’t just trust the spec sheet. I’ve personally tested these on my daily-use squeezing water bottle for months. Despite constant pressure, being tossed in bags, and frequent washes, the adhesive hasn’t budged and the colors are still vibrant. Whether it’s on your laptop, your bike, or your favorite bottle, it’s built to last.
